A Day to Commemorate Jewish Survivors & Those Who Perished
NM Holocaust Museum, Jewish Community Center, Jewish Federation of NM and the Jewish Care Program invite you to join us for an afternoon of solidarity with Holocaust survivors in our community and view the exhibit & documentary: Survivor – My Father’s Ghosts by photographer/filmmaker Hannah Kozak, visiting from Los Angeles, at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Albuquerque.
- 2 PM Remembrance Ceremony
Violin music by Beth Cohen, honor ABQ survivors, light yellow candles, recite Yom HaShoah mourners’ Kaddish, poetry reading
- 2:30 – 4 PM Survivor – My Father’s Ghosts
Hannah Kozak will present her photography exhibit and documentary followed by question and answer. The exhibit retraces her Polish father’s footsteps on his stays in Nazi forced labor camps from 1943 until liberation on May 8, 1945. She photographed entirely on film on a 1961 Rolleiflex 2.8F and had 200 hand printed silver gelatin prints by a master printmaker. 40 of these black and white photographs are on display from 4/1 to 5/15

There is no charge for this afternoon. Doors open at 1:15 to view exhibit.
