The Archivist-at-Home

Please Join us for a FREE workshop on October 17, from 10-11 a.m. at the Main & Genealogy Library, 501 Copper Ave NW, Albuquerque, 87102.

Before most collections ever become part of any museum, they are cared for at home and managed by families and community members. This workshop offers a basic overview of best practices for preserving common items such as historical documents, photographs in various formats, scrapbooks, and objects and textiles. It will introduce you to easy-to-use, inexpensive materials and resources that will help you protect and preserve heirlooms and heritage. It will also be an opportunity to share stories and family history with others in the community.

Each participant will receive a free preservation kit with archival supplies to continue this work at home.

Seating is limited to the first 15 people and this session is full. If you would like to be added to our waitlist, or be notified of future opportunities like this, please click here today to complete the short sign-up form.

This event is possible through the generous sponsorship of Nusenda Credit Union.
